Wow!! reading some of the post is really stirring up excitement, getting ready for the purple martins to return. Sounds like most of us believe we will be better purplemartin land-lords in the new year of 2006. We seem to be more excited to welcome the beautiful birds back than our kids or grands have been to wait for Santa. Perhaps we are all kids to some degree, will own up to the age span. In our area we are dealing with drought and fires. We have not had many cold days, thus this kind of weather makes it seem like spring, and we may be rushing the arrival time for our purple-martin friends/ perhaps they have the mother nature schedule.
