Hi, I had 11 pairs 51 eggs 43 hatched 40 fledged and 3 more are to fledge 8/22. If they fledge I will have an 84% fledgling rate which to me is very good. If the parents abandoned the last 3 babies then I will have a 78% which I think is still good for the 1rst year.

Craig,
I congratulate you, too. I also had the best year ever. My martins have been gone for three weeks now. Still have a few that stop on their way south! I wish that albino martin would come by and stay awhile. I'd really love to see one!

Craig,
I am happy to hear that you did attract martins at your new site and with 11 pairs that is a tremendous success.
Just imagine if you double up next year.......Please keep us posted on your late nesting martins. Last year was the latest we had babies; they fledged on August 11th and they were all fine. This year the last ones fledged on July 16th, so it has been very quiet around here
Best wishes for the rest of your martin season.
Astrid
