This is the one I've been trying to get for a couple of years. The water is blue but the trees are reflecting in the late evening light. Hope you like it.

I have heard how the PM get their water but never have seen it. That is a great picture. Thank you!

WOW! Ron, that's a fabulous shot! NG material for sure! I've seen cliff swallows drink like this, but never seen a PM. Do you have a pond nearby so that you know they will come by? I have NO idea where my PMs go for a drink.
Keep posting these photos, they are really great!

Fantastic!
I saw a martin "splash" in the Coldwater River below the spillway at Arkabutla Lake a couple of weekends ago. Standing in the parking lot above the river, I watched him fly down and I thought he touched his belly to the water. Maybe he was taking a drink..I don't know.
Great picture, Ron.

Hi Ron,
The best shot you've ever posted...
and that's saying a lot!
It is also my Windows desktop wallpaper - maybe for years to come.
Thanks so much, Mary

Ron:
I can't wait to see how you are going to top this shot! Absolutely beautiful.
I watch my martins daily dropping down to take a bath and get a drink of water. I had no idea they opened their mouth's so wide to get a drink.

Ron,
Have you ever thought about offering some of your pictures as Posters? I am sure many of us would love to purchase some.
