Well here it is over half way through May and still no Martins.
I have done everything by the book, Dawn Song, decoys and two different house and gourd locations.
I am a mile from amish and thier one house is full.
Trying to understand.
I have just about give up for this year.
Still no Martins, I would like to buy some now Ha.

flylow, don't throw in the towel yet. I too am waiting I have maybe four weeks left then it's over for me.
In August of last year I had seven landed everytime I played the chatter cd tape and I thought this year they will be back, but not.
So I wait again and not giving up. what gets me, I seen them flying around the marsh area and it's only five minute car ride from were I am.

Don't give up, I saw a flock of subbies headed north just last night with at least 55+ (I gave up counting at 40). So there are still some that must not have homes yet. I picked up a few more subbies over the past few days, which puts me at 15 Martins. I am just about out of rooms and one ASY male is still holding out hope for a female. He's claimed a gourd, but no wife yet. Nest building is in full swing, but no eggs yet.
