If it's not one thing, it's another. I have 2 unattached subbie males that are causing a lot of problems. A nest of 6 had all hatched. At my regular nest check today, 2 of them were on the ground, one of them was dead. I put the other one back in the nest and watched these male subbies poking around in several nests. I'm sure they are the culprits. I've finally managed to get rid of the sparrows and now the subbies are killing little ones. I guess theres nothing to do about this one. I'll just have to accept it as life in a martin colony. But is sure hacks me off.
