I bought some crickets & mealworms today. They're in a styrofoam coffee cup with the lid taped shut. Can I put them in the frig so they get cold & slow down enough I can place them on the PM house without having them all jump away? I asked where I bought them, but the guy didn't know. I don't have a feeding platform, so I'm assuming when the PM's are off looking for food I can lower the house & stick a few on the balcony & in the nests?
The mealworms were in a cooler at the trading post, so I know I can put those in the frig.
TIA,

- Martin Colony History: The 1972 St. Agnes flood wiped out all the Martins in my area. One day, in 1997-98, 5 or 6 Martins landed on the power wires crossing my back yard. I had no house for them. They kept coming back day after day. We got a martin house a few weeks later & they have been coming back every year since. I average 12-15 pair per year.
