Am I the only one that is having trouble with the spell checker here since yesterday afternoon? Since late yesterday (Thursday) when I run the spell checker it is showing the text and highlighting errors, but it no longer provides an opportunity to make corrections. Believe me, when you have spelling as bad as mine you rely on the spell check function to be sure that the message is legible. Of course I can cut and paste the text into MS Word, check the spelling there, and then cut and paste it back here, but that gets to be work.
If nobody else is experiencing this problem I will need to check and see if anything has changed in my browser settings that I am not aware of. I do hope that I have not exceeded the number of allowed mis-spelled and butchered words and the correction feature has been turned off !
The spell checker is working for me. The spell checker uses java which is a program on your end. If you have disabled Java on your machine, this feature will not be available. Our server also does some work using PHP, software on our end. Since it works for me, we can rule out PHP.
Thank you for your quick response. I agree that this is almost certainly an issue at my end. I have not changed anything about Java but my anti-virus software did update yesterday so I will investigate it from this end.
FYI - I also updated my Firefox browser but that was done early in the week and I did not encounter this issue until yesterday afternoon.
