We finally received (according to my weather station) 1.83 inches of rain this evening. It was interesting to watch the martins during the lightning storm...they fled the gourds and fled the metal poles and returned after the lightning had left. Smart birds!
I also was preparing to lower the housing to feed crickets this afternoon but stopped when I saw several birds returning with dragon flies! Finally!
That is great news not only for you but the martins too!!!! I thought I was going to be in trouble earlier this year too with it being dry for two months but the rain started to come in and changed things just like it did for you!!! Thanks God!!!! John!
Very happy to hear y'all got some rain. Droughts are scary. Let's just hope this isn't end of it but only the beginning. I'm sure every living thing down there is enjoying the wet weather.
