My one and only pair appear to have something going on ,,,,,,,,,they are both bringing insects of some sort to the compartment,sometimes it is just him going in with an insect and coming back out a minute or so later,he may be gone a few minutes and then he is back with another same verse.She will then come out and he stays in the compartment and she returns with an insect,then they go off together but one of them always returns with in 5 minutes.
I have not seen any egg shells on the ground,don't they normally kick them out?
I have two beagles that will eat anything,maybe they picked up the shells .

If the adults are entering the compartment with insects, I'd say you have babies. They usually carry the eggshells a distance from the nestsite and drop them to keep from alerting predators. I watched one of my females exit a gourd yesterday with and eggshell in her beak. She flew a long way and dropped it out of my sight. Congratulations and good luck.
