I'm using an old radio CD player laying on the ground facing up. I do know on my old player if I try to play the sound too load it distorts it. I would thing play up on the pole with a load speaker it wouldn't have to be loader than what you can here down on the ground easily. What I'm getting at is if you play it too load it distorts the sound.
