Nest building really fired up at my colony today. I've got pine and wheat straw in the bedding trays. I had 43 nesting pairs last year and I'm well over 100 birds now. Ain't that a hoot!!

Hi Copper....Sorry if I missed the question before. I use a Nikon D-70s with a Nikon 300mm f4 lens and a Nikon 1.4x converter. I usually shoot in aperture priority and then bias the exposure after a couple of shots to see what I've got. The first one was shot at 1/640 f9 and the second at 1/800 f9. Hope this helps.

That did help... I guess I need a 1.4x converter since I have a 75 - 300 mm zoom lens. But I have been shooting in TV mode. Will have to try AV. I have been try to keep it at f/5.6 with a fast shutter speed.

Still learning.

Thanks
