At sunrise today there was much noise and a flurry of activity around my Trio Grandpa 12.
The population increased from two(2) pair to five(5) pair and the two pair that has been in residence for about a week or so started to bring in all kinds of nesting materials.
The other, new PM's, are very aggitated as the two pair build their nests. It looks like the new arrivals are trying to decide which compartments to occupy.
The new arrivals look smaller and more slender than the two pair that have been here for a week or two. Since I'm a new at making observations, although a ten year landlord, I would quess that these new arrivals are of the SY type. I counted three (3) new pair and a couple extra females at my location. It will be interesting to see if the extra females stay around without being paired to males.
Any comment will be greatly appreciated!
