The Forum map showing martin migration was last updated 3/28/06. So I am anxious to know if anyone in Wisconsin has martins yet. Would appreciate knowing. I had only one pair raise young last year, but am hopeful I might get another pair this year.
thanks for any info.

Sharon. I don't live in Wisconsin, nor do I have any information about the PMs there. However, I'm going to climb out on the limb and say "Probably" I live in Michigan, and know there are PMs nearby. Since you would be about even with me, that's why I say probably. I'm not sure there are many landlords from Wisconsin who visit the PMCA Forum. Good Luck on attracting some PMs. I'd start opening things up real soon if I were in your place. CUL Lou

The scout map was updated today, and indeed the martins have just arrived in Wisconsin. However, not at my house yet. Maybe I should go and buy one of those bird monitors that lets you listen to the birds outside chirp from the comfort of the inside of the house. I am afraid I might not see my lone pair. I know last year they were on the house at the beginning of the session only in the early morning and then again late at night.
Fun to look forward to another year of trying to get martins.

Sharon. Perhaps you need to do like I did. I was getting tired of having to get up from the puter, walk to the kitchen window, look outside, back to the puter, etc, etc. So I helped the wife empty out the spare bedroom, I went and bought a puter desk center, placed that rascal right beside the spare bedroom window. Now my puter sits next to the window, my chair is situated so that sitting at the puter, I've only got to turn my head a few degrees to look out. My ear is right at the window, so by having the window open (When there ain't a wind blowing through) I can hear all the birds in my backyard. If there were to be a PM, and he even uttered a note, I'd hear it. ha ha. So far, my TS are back, but haven't seen any PMs yet. Oh ya. My pellet gun is sitting next to the window, just in case a European Starling, or English House Sparrow decides to move in. ha ha. CUL Lou
