It is that time of year! Yesterday when I checked nests, I had several eggs that had pipped. They are scheduled to hatch today so when I check the nests today I should see a nest of babies. I have another nest that is due to hatch tomorrow so I will look to see if any of those eggs have pipped today. Yesterday they had that flat blueish look they get just before they hatch so I am looking forward to more babies. I hope everyone else in CF are seeing chicks too.

I have noticed this year that more of my nests have only had 3 and 4 eggs. Has anyone else seen that in this area this year?

Thanks
James

James, last I checked I had 2 nests with 6 and one with 5..... Maybe your small nests are due to their being early.. ?
