Well Lets hope they stay, last year i was to close to a huge tree so i sold the house and bought a nice one acre lot here in Blanchard Oklahoma.
It seems that i have made a good decision, i watched a pair hang around all day and around 6:30Pm they went in the one of the Big Natural gourds i have hanging. They have been checking them out all day and finally picked one, so everyone say a prayer that they stay.
5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 5 yrs and 30 Thousand Bucks i Got a Pair Today

Benson,
Great news guy! I also looked for a good location when we bought this property 1.25 years ago. After hosting them for 7 years in wylie, I knew I couldn't live without them. Martins make my day, my week and give me much pleasure until they depart. It sounds like you are there too!
Have a great season

Congratulations, I know how you feel. It took me 11 years and what seemed like $30,000 before I got my first colony last year.

Thanks All i have 5 Super Natural Gourds but only have had them last year and this year, i knew i was way to close to tree's but on the other property i had no choice. I did attract a pair for about a week but they did stay any longer than that, i am on my way out to check them this morning, wish luck!

Ok Today they are back in the same gourd, i saw 7 Martins this evening and the pair i had last night, my pair went in their gourd and then a third male went into that gourd also, and was in there for at least 5 minutes before leaving for the evening.
