I posted last week that I haven't seen any PM's yet this year. Well, I saw my First PM this morning. I just might be a 3rd year Landlord.

Good morning ozarks I live about two hundred and fifty miles east of you over in Ill, and I had two asy male martin come in yesterday about noon, spent the night and are flying around this morning. I think they are birds from last year. They have gone to the alamo house which they pick first out of all of my setup. Hope that your birds will stay I am sure that they will .
It is cool here and no insects flying so the one martin is humped up conserving energy. This is my fourth year, I had eighteen active nests last year with 77 fledged. lol with your martins Jon

Ozarks, I'm close to you. I live in Marshfield. Haven't seen any here as of yet but I got a call from a friend last Friday who lives near St John's Hospital who had an ASY male circle his martin house. Good luck...

Hey Springfield, still nothing in Iola, KS - except S&S, but I've already eliminated 9 starlings. I've check 5-6 different Martin houses in different areas and nothing. Last year, mine arrived on April 1.....I'm getting a little worried. Maybe if the people down South would quit feeding them scrabbled eggs/crickets, they would get moving again (just kidding) - that's probably mine that somebody saved. My female that's been around for a couple years has a white patch on her left wing, just in case anyone see's her. Well, good luck and I'll keep looking.

In Columbia, IL I saw two arrive on Sunday, then yesterday there was 6 or more at my neighbors across the lake. I had one pair this morning on my house when I woke up, they tried to get into my SREH, but to no avail.. they flew off. Then tonight, there was a bunch. It's pretty exciting seeing them again. This is my first full year at this location, so I'm desparately hoping to "Borrow" some from my neighbor.. There should only be more arriving with the weather warming up..... mike
