Migration Radar

Last year, someone on this forum posted a website address that showed a "doppler" type radar image of migratory birds coming in from South America.

As I checked the site throughout the early spring last year, I was able to see massive "clouds" of birds move up through Florida, Texas, and Louisiana.

Does anyone out there know to which website I am referring? If so, I would greatly appreciate knowing that address.

Thanks.

Interesting..
Not sure of the specific site, but this might be one good place to start.
They apparently access the radar data from the NEXRAD - Weather Surveillance Radar 88D

and the link to the right "Radar"

I'll try to search more on this later when I have the time. I'd be
interested to see this as well.

Good luck.

To look for a roost in your area, try this about 20 min before dark

I think I remember that post. It might be this one:

I think I also saw something about doppler or nexrad flock images on the PMCA's Project Matin Watch page.

If you?re thinking of the radar site down on the Florida Keys it used to be at a site called ?badbirdz?, although it doesn?t appear to be in service this year.

Here?s an old link: http://home.comcast.net/~badbirdz/september2005.htm
