Ron, Really beautiful birds! I can see the iris in both birds' eyes.

Can't get much closer than this.

Someone tell me what manner of PM these two are. Males/female, ASY/SY.

Also, Ron, how do you put the pic into the text of the message? No matter how small I resize the pic, it always comes up as an attachment that has to be clicked on.

Martin Colony History: Tried and tried and had some visitors but...not enough good insects around here to keep them interested.

Something there is funny! In the first picture, the Martin appears to have a nice painting hanging on the wall inside near the ceiling! Nice touch!

Thanks Folks! Glad you enjoyed them.

Joe, they are ASY and you do know the all purple is the male. To post pics. like this you need a host site to store your photos and then transfer to your post.

Fred, that's their apartment #.

Ron, Your pics were very much larger than I expected, and i never saw the male to the lower right of the female, until later today.

Since I thought the female was in the shot by itself, I was wondering if it's very white chest indicated an SY male maybe, even if this was a little early yet.

The bird in the second shot had a lot of gray color as well. So, to me, it also could have been either. I have not seen that many female/SY's to be able to distinguish them apart. Thus, asking for Identification, however foolish that might have seemed.

I do know that all purple means ASY male. And since they are not picking at each other, it's companion is probably a female in the first pic.

I do have a site that hosts my pics. How do you put the HTML code into the message?

Joe, I didn't intend my reply to sound sarcastic. Hope you didn't take it that way. Here is a good ID link.

Copy and paste should get your code into the text message.
Hope this helps.
