house plans?

Does anyone have any plans (or know where I can get one) for building your own house - pref. like the T 14? I just know this is something my husband can do.

The T-14 plans are available on the PMCA shop.

Wood is a great material for Michigan martins, but I'm concerned a wooden house would be too hot under the big beautiful Texas sun. What do you Texans think?

I bought the plans for the T14 from the PMCA Shop and built the one you see in the small picture. It wasn't that hard to do but it is a very heavy house and needs a strong pole and winch system. I put mine on a 3 1/2 inch square steel pole sandwiched between 2 steel I beems set in 4' of concrete. During the off season I can remove one bolt and loosen another an let the pole down house and all for painting the pole and to lub the pulley.

A wood house is going to be more insulated and cool than anything you could put up. Use the T-14 design, including a winch system. Paint white.
