Ok After 4 yrs of no success with Martins and selling my home and building on a perfect lot for the the little Purple dudes, i have several blue birds showing tomuch interest in my Gourds? Now my pole is 15 feet high and has Gourds Hanging from them, i can't just blow on the blue birds and make them go away, and i have a very nice living quarters set up just for the BB's. So what to do, anyone have an idea?

The bluebirds usually nest before martins, so you might close the martin housing until the bluebirds lose interest and go to the bluebird boxes that you provided...Its not good news to let them go into the martin housing.
After the bluebirds move, you can then open the martin housing, then the martins will chase the bluebirds if the martins claim the house

Emil gives you excellent advice Benson. I have martins and bluebirds as well. I close up the martin housing by obstructing the entrance hole (I use clothespins). You can close up your housing with just about anything: old socks, paper cups, swimming pool noodles, duct tape. The bluebirds will eventual accept the box that you have put out for them. Once they have, you can open up your martin housing.

Folks, please don't use Duct tape. When the outer layer comes off, it leaves the glue on wherever it's put. If this gets into the feathers of a PM, or other good bird, it'd not be very good. Lots of things to use, without endangering the PMs. CUL Lou
Bluebird boxes have to be set up about 100 yards apart. That seems to be about the extent of their territorial range.
However, you can put up two bluebird boxes within 15 or 30 feet of each other and you may luck out and get tree swallows in one and bluebirds in the other. That's what happened to us!
