I just put up 6 super gourds and they are already filled. This is my first year with gourds; I have two aluminum houses with large rooms. I have room for 8 more gourds but I wanted to see how these did first. There are so many different styles out there. I have never filled so many nests so early before. I was wondering if anyone has tried the double compartment gourds in the South? I have heard these might get hotter and my temperatures here in Texas can get pretty hot.
They are really fighting over the gourds; some of the Martins don't even want to leave the nest. Nobody around me has gourds just houses.

Hello Donna,
Glad to see your having great success with the supergourds! And yes I have the aluminum trio houses that have been enlarged to bigger compartments. Had three pairs my first year and two picked the trio house! Over my 12 supergourds and 4 natureline gourds! I have added troyer horizontal gourds and love them and am going to add some more of these! Heat was not a problem in the trio houses! I live in Florida! Thanks and good luck this year and on your decisions!! John!
