Martin Colony History: 3000+SUC. PAIRS; 13,500+ FLEDGLINGS IN 25 YEARS. Attempting colony reduction, 77 cavities, Troyer gourds.

The 25 or so martins we had prior to today have survived the bad weather. I checked cavities for casualties after the Martins departed around noon and found none---- yes. They all returned , then, just before dusk two waves of new birds arrived. They are all strangers, likely followed my herd inbound to Purple Martin Disneyland:-)))))))))))))))) I pray all of your martins are safe as well  Friend In Texas

Hey Tony,

That is great news! When I see you getting lots of martins, then I know it will not be long before more of those northwest Louisiana martins start pouring in!

It looks most of our martins survived the bad weather in our area, too. I plan to check our housing tomorrow if possible for casulties.

Hope you have another fantastic martin season.

Steve
