Looking at the scout report every year is neat.
I think it would be great if they could make a link for the Barn Swallows, Tree Swallows and Chimney Swifts too.
I know this is a PM sight but as much traffic as it gets, I think it would go.
Thoughts?
Scout report for Barn Swallows, Chimney Switfs, Tree Swallow
I like it Starling Shooter! At least the tree swallows so we can get our swallow housing ready to get them to declare a territory before the PM get here. Each year I have been fortunate to get my TS to claim BB nest boxes and not compete w/the PM housing
tom....getting excited but hope they wait for decent weather this year!!

I have a chimney swift question for you guys. Is there any type of chimney cap that lets swifts in but keeps racoons and the like out? I would love to remove the hardware cloth that is covering my chimney if there was an alternative. Let me know.
Thanks,
Mike

Here are two migration tracking sites I am aware of:
Ruby-throated Hummingbirds:

For those interested in Chimney Swifts, don't forget to check out our friends at...

They were promising a redesign of their web page and I was hoping for an updated Scout Report but it looks like it's still showing last year's arrivals.

Mike, to deter the raccoons, try to make sure they can't crawl up the outside of it or jump to it from a higher point. If it's a brick chimney, I would think some aluminum flashing around the base or near the top would prevent them from getting a grip.
