Got my 37 MM RCMSREH to pass 3 live starling tests, that's 1.450 which is just shy of 1 1/2". Had a great ginniepig this time he was determined to excape with the outside door open. But, to no evail. Now just have to See it the Martins can easily enter it. Come on 24th March!!!!.
I've got one proven design with one season and 3 variations of this design I'm testing. I think in about 3 years I might have something that I can say restricts starlings with alittle luck.
The 37 MM Stealth VI starling (restrictor) entry hole.

RC as a suggestion, send your test entrances to a few folks you trust with nice sized colonies for testing this summer. You will find you can do your three years of testing in only one summer.
He who harbors the nesting bird shall have health and happiness all the year
Too early, only one has been Martin tested and fledged sucessfully. The latest style with 3 variations was designed over the winter. Got about 20 in the failure bin. It took me about a dozen changes to get the first one to work, plus it hard to reproduce the exact same size, so it not that easy to mass produce them. A couple of MMs can make the differents.
My goal is just not to block starlings I know I can do that. It's making a design that put's little or no pressure on the PM's breast bone or back and one they can easily enter and totally blocking starlings. I would like to be able to get a design 38 to 40MM. My failure bin is full of those sizes.

Yes Dale, both designs has some roundness to them. With design features that reminds you of a nickname of fuelie SBC heads? Riddle?? along with the 21th century design of a long range bomber? Too many copycat's to post a picture on the world wide web even though you have to have the exact measurements. If find that three are critical to make it work.
