I have an old Pioneer (Musselman) House I converted to 6 straight compartments. In the past, I also had fastened a couple of 1" angle aluminum brackets underneath and had fastened (with 12 gauge electric copper wire) a total of 4 SG on each corner of the angles. I also had added a couple of 1/4" aluminum rods for perches off the bottom of the house too. This winter I purchased gourd hanging arms and gourd rack owl guards. I removed the copper wire and installed the arms to the aluminum angles and of course the owl guards to the arms. It looks to me like I could possible install two more gourds off the middle of each of the angles with copper wire. Also maybe slide a couple of gourds over each end of the 1/4" rods. Is this to congested? I feel the house and pole are sturdy enough, but I don't know.
Any comments? Thanks

It doesn't sound too conjested, is it possible you could post a Picture of your setup for us to take a look see??. a pic may give us a better Idea.

rickluc, there are a couple basic points to cover.....
1) is the house and pole strong enough to support the gourds
2) gourds should not bump each other in a strong wind, no matter how wildly they swing in a strong wind...
If you can meet these 2 conditions, then its ok to add them
