It was nice to put a face to your name also. You sure had a great first year. Good luck for next spring.

Pen -- glad you got to see the program. I just 'luv them birds.
KMOV TV, St. Louis, interviewed me last summer for a speical they aired last night about improvements to Forest Park, which is a very large public park that has undergone a massive renovation in recent years. I'm amazed that with all the high profile entities involved in the park's "re-birth" -- corporate donors, civic leaders and others -- that I was allowed to put up a martin house. Polite persistence pays off.
If anyone here has thought of putting up housing in a public place -- now's the time to write letters to get permission and order housing. Big open spaces at parks, schools, hospital grounds and interstate rest stops are there waiting. It takes some plannnig, forethought, and a few bucks, but can be very rewarding.
