Lake Pontchartrain Roost

I was reading about the Lake Pontchartrain bridge and saw a picture of a display that said "Largest Roosting Colony". It will be interesting to see how this roost does next year.

Mr. Wilson, did you take this picture before or after Hurricane Katrina? I hope that the roost viewing area was not affected. If you have seen the area, please describe what it looked like.

That picture was definetly taken before the hurricane, but I do not know the date the picture was taken. The bridge was damaged to some degree according to information I read online, but the roost is still intact for the most part.
