Last year I could play my dawnsong CD on my sony player and I could get it to repeat. This year I could not get it to repeat. So every hour and 14 min I would have to restart it. The player will repeat other cd's I have.
Any help would be appreciated.

Joe, I've noticed this kind of behavior from "bootlegged" CD's. Well, not really bootlegged, just copies I made from my own original. I had a CD player in the garage and another in the house and made several copies to serve as "back-ups" to the original. I did this for both the Dawnsong and Daychatter disks. Well, I'm not sure what happened but the copies had sections of just huge drop-outs of good audio which was replaced with a hashy/static kind of sound which sounded just awful at normal sound levels. Also, I noticed that the CD player would stop in the middle or as is your case, simply fail to repeat when other audio CD's seemed fine. Like it or not, I've taken to using original disks in the players and after 3 years of running 13 hours a day for 6 months of the year the audio has remained as good as can be expected from low-fidelity outdoor weather-resistant P.A. horns. All I can say is give your CD's a good cleaning if you are using originals. Good luck. Fred in Michigan
