I had a gourd with 6 baby TS that was raided by E. Sparrows and all but 1 baby was killed. There was a BS nest at the barn with babies that looked to be the same size that I placed the baby TS in.

This pic was the day after he joined the nest.

Martin Colony History: Erected 1st house in 1997. Birds were checking it out before Mike got down from the ladder. Six cavities had a little colony 1st year. Grown to 88 cavities all gourds with near 100% occupancy. Most important factor for success is rain = bugs.

The "neatest", Ron. A picture is worth a thousand words...

Very touching.

I hope the House Sparrow was held responsible for his dastardly deeds...
