Can anyone tell me if the Duracraft martin houses are any good? Do the doors open up like the Trio houses? Thanks so much for any help!!

Thanks so much for the reply! I knew Trio made this house but was wondering if the material was the same guage thickness as the Trio house. May be wrong Dave, but sounds like you might not like the house with the statement "good luck" in your messge. If I do purchase the Duracraft Castle I will modify it to 6x12 rooms. I did this with my other two Tro houses some years back. Again, thanks so much for your experptise!!

The thickness of the aluminum stock used in the Duracraft DRC-12 that I have is 0.020". The stock that my Trio TG-12s is made from is 0.025" thick.

The Duracraft DRC-12 is like the Trio M-12K, but with the thinner aluminum stock. It was closed out at the end of 2003. I guess that you are considering the Trio model DH-12N. I think that its doors open the same way as as the TG-12's. The Trio TMC-12, sold by the PMCA, should be sturdier.
