Hi all,
My dad just sent me a packet of Wyoming Wildlife magazines, and, lo and behold, in the May, 2005 issue there was an article about purple martins found nesting in southern Wyoming. It's the first time in 90 years that there is documention of nesting in the state.
The martins were (at least 2 pair) were housed in woodpecker holes in aspen trees, and seemed to do fairly well (well three fledglings from two nests). There are some really nice pictures of the birds (both adult and young) and it even mentions the PMCA
Just thought people may be interested.
Mike (wish it were cooler here in Baton Rouge. Higest day so far back home has been 88 (but they had 22 inches of snow on June 4!))

Hi Mike
Is the magazine available on-line? Reading it would be my 2005 Rocky Mountain vacation.

Hi John,
I couldn't find any links to it except for subscriptions. It's a very well done magazine, full of the critters that call Wyoming home.
