I have had adult bird since February 28. I would’ve thought the subadult Byrds would have been here by now usually they’re 6 to 8 weeks behind adults. So far Tennessee is only reporting six subadults.

I just got my first SY pair, much later than normal. I think the cooler weather is to blame. This was the coolest April I can remember in my life.

I have one subadult male. I just recently saw him as he and his mate are occupying a gourd that I had just cleaned out.
It faces away from me. I'd found a dead martin in it a few weeks ago.
Not sure how long he's been here but I'm happy to see him.

Finally, seeing some subadult males today much louder today much more fighting today. Good to have them back finally
