Been a weird year for me. The last several years my arrivals have gotten earlier and earlier. This year they were a little later than recent years. I had three show up and then early last week we had a cold snap and I didn't seem the for about 5 days. Then last Friday they came back. Saturday morning and all day Sunday I was out of town. I came home from work Monday afternoon and had at least 30 ASY's here. I had only opened about 10 cavities priro to Monday as there are huge numbers of TS around. When I lowered my T 14 to open the rest of the cavities there was a male and femal in one of the open cavities that rode down. I went ahead and opened everything up today. I have two AAA gourd racks and 2 T 14's that each have 4 gourds underneath as well. Might fill up quick this year, I've just never had that many show up in such a short time period.

Hi flyin-lowe,
I don't have quite the longevity of your colony, but I experienced a similar trend this year. My returnees have usually appeared slowly, maybe one or two at a time. This year, our first ASY-M arrived but was alone for about two weeks. Then.... this weekend happened. The martin bus arrived and a bunch got off! Porches are almost full, and the birds are hanging out most of the day. At some point I will need to lower the housing and open the remaining doors. I'm so happy to hear the chortles again.
Hope you have a great year!
