I’m all set for this year, but I’m building 2 more poles out of some heavy duty posts I got off a pile.
The other poles I built I did the typical “cut a notch” in the top of pole to drop the pulley into and bolt through. That works fine, but with these poles being round it makes putting spacers around the pulley a little strange.
Some time ago I thought I saw a picture of a fabricated piece where the pulley was bolted into a 2 prong fork looking thing with a piece of pipe welded to the bottom of it. This slid into the top of the pole and looked like it would work pretty slick.
Anyone seen a similar setup or build something else which works? Picture for attention. Heavy wall 3.5” pipe. Welded on some extensions to make taller and added gussets. Needs to be strong to handle the monster gourd racks I built.
Thanks for any input!
Any ideas for pulley on top of homemade pole?

I have round poles I repurpoused for my T 14's. On both of them I just cut a slot in the top of the pipe and set a garage door pulley in it. I also drilled a hole and ran a bolt righ above the pull sot the cable couldn't slip off. I don't think it can due to the weight of the house but is was only 1.00 for a little insurance. Here is the only decent picture I have. Easy and cheap and this one has been in use for over 15 years.
