Hello fellow landlords

I am looking for a little advice. I have a Trio house and an 8-gourd setup that are 17 feet apart from each other. I have another 8-gourd unit that I want to put in between the two. Is this too close together for the three units? Thank you

The martins won't care at all if they are 4 feet apart of 15 feet apart. I always make sure I have enough room to get my mower between and around everything. And even i the housing is lowered I still have room.

Martin Colony History: The first year I started keeping track was 2023
2023 - 1 T-14-
38 eggs
28 nestlings
26 fledged
2024
67 eggs
56 nestlings
54 fledge
2025
Added another T-14 & 4 gourds
157 eggs
140 young
126 fledgling

I don’t think that’s too close together, martins don’t mind at all if housing is right next to each other. I’ve seen pictures of thriving colonies and the housing was only a few feet apart.

.. Sounds like that would be a good idea.. Being that close won't hurt the Martins.. Just make sure that you have enough room to do your thing (raising and lowering the houses, mowing or weeding) .. Good Luck..
