Hey all my PM family!!!!!!! I am happy to announce the very first male Adult PM !!!
I was walking a path going back inside my house, after completing my last chore for my other feathered friends, when all at once and I don’t know why, I looked up in the sky and right over me flying really close over the top of me, was an Adult PM male. He was so close that I could see!!
I kept looking and sure enough, he began to glide through the air so beautifully!!
Here is the odd thing I have NEVER experienced. That sweet baby, never opened his mouth, not one time. One never forgets those unforgettable PM sounds and clicks!!
I went inside to get water, it’s 85 degrees here and working out in it, you will definitely sweat.
Now I’m perched on my front porch with a Birds Eye view of my box!
Now I’m on pins and needles waiting on him to come back and make his announcement lol.
I will keep you all posted!!!!!
MANY LA’S FIRST ARRIVAL!!!!!

- Martin Colony History: Have had martins 20 years, I have anywhere from 6 pair to 10 pair
yearly.
Awwww thank you Mr Brent and CC.
I truly was relieved when you said that your baby didn’t make a sound either, Mr CC.
I uncovered the house but haven’t seen him again, however, I have seen them in the past zoom in like a bullet, without any indication they were anywhere to be seen so I’m not upset about not actually seeing him again.
I did play the dawn song on my iPhone but didn’t see or hear anything.
I am estatic to say also the bluebirds didn’t attempt to get on my Martin box. You fellas probably remember all the crying I did regarding Bluebirds trying to nest in my Martin Box. “Bluebirds are fighting Martins”
That was a very trying year last year. So I am extremely thankful not one bluebird flew to the box.
I am seeing a single pine straw in the bluebird boxes where they are claiming their houses.
I too am so sending blessings too, for you both and all of our other PM family.

Congrats Linda! Always such an exciting time!
They can be quick and sneaky in the evening sometimes. Turn your head or blink and you miss it.
Hope you have a wonderful season!
