I have a dedicated gourd rack with 6 gourds, all having Troyer traps in them. I also have a repeating sparrow trap. How close to the gourd rack would you place the repeating trap? I've always had them about 100 feet apart, but recently moved the 6 gourd traps closer to the house. Thanks

Wherever you see the HOSP thats where id put it, moving them around seems to work well. Especially effective with a bait bird or two in the trap.
Hope this helps

I agree with the bait bird. Once you get one, it will attract the others virtually wherever it is.

LoneOak,
One quick question...its the repeating sparrow trap like the Blains or Troyers right? Or is it the ST1...ST1 has 3 doors; two trap compartments and a catch area in the center.
Please let us know

Ok, 3 compartments or the drop cage which dumps them into the trap...troyer makes a version of both.
In either case, if they have started to become wary, move the trap around. Sounds strange, but it works.
