Back in early April, I had several martins show interest in my setup. They stayed a few days, left a few days, returned for a few days. For the last 2 weeks, there have been 3-4 show up every day. They fly and circle numerous times, enter and exit gourds, fly around some more. They're here everyday, but they are not nesting. I'm glad they are coming by to visit, but sure wish they'd decide to raise some babies here.

That's a really good sign. Do any of them stay at night? Im betting so.

I haven't seen them coming in at night to stay, but I guess it's possible.

Martin Colony History: Several colonies with in 6 mile radius.
Have had visitor every year 2014-24.
Two large trees removed in fall 2024 and moved T-14 to a more open location.
2025- 1 SY pair. Fledged 2.

LOM, your situation sounds familiar. As Thomas said, it’s a really good sign. I have had daily visitors since May 23 this year. I always get that, ‘this is my year’ thoughts, Only to be disappointed. You are on their radar and hopefully this is your year.

2014, 1st year-a few lookers, no nests
2015-23. Visitors each year. But no pairs.
2024- most active year. 2-4 SY male’s hang out most days.
