Hello from Maryland

Hi All,
I am Alec Taylor and I am a new member to the forum. My father, Pat Taylor, has had a Purple Martin colony in Bowie MD since the early 1970s. He passed away at 89 at the end of January. I am his 60 year old son and I am going to try to care for his colony one last year before my mom sells the home. So someone will be buying a home that comes with a Martin colony!

Over the last couple days I eliminated a nesting sparrow pair and intimidated away a pair of starlings.

We noticed our scout on March 25th.

Thanks for the support! I grew up with the colony and my folks' love of birds rubbed off.

Hello from Texas! I'm sorry for your loss, and am heartened by your ability and desire to carry forward the colony. Im sure he is very happy. I know I would be.
