Timing for adding additional housing

This will be my fourth season as an active Purple Martin landlord and I would like to add a second house to my property. I use the S & K red barn house and will be adding a second one this season but I am not sure when to put up the second house. I always take down my housing at the end of the season for cleaning and winter storage. Do I just put them both up at the same time or do I put one up, then put the second one up a few days or weeks later? Thank you for your advice!

Put them up at the same time. If you add your new house before your birds arrive or before the subadults come in it’ll likely be used the same season.
