Hello All
My birds arrived and settle in.
I am 87 and sure look forward to seeing them this year And seeing how my D I Y vents turn out on my gourd lids and my 3 houses
Still a little cool here to un plug them. Wont be long before un-pluging them And removing the 2 cotton balls
======================================
Now to off the wall idea Have these white cat litter buckets
Since bird houses have sky rocked in price and since my mail boxes are working
I thought I would try a white litter bucket
Take a flat board Cut out a door and hinge it Fasten a entry to the door
Then fasten to the opening in the square litter bucket
Then add my design vents Maybe 4 vents
Never know till one tries hun Smile [ Later

People have used coffee buckets, mail boxes, all kinds of things. While housing is expensive it can be tough to make your own an save a bunch of money, if financing is your only motivator. I built my own T 14's because I got the lumber cheap. I built one a couple years ago for a friend who had to buy all the lumber at retail price. It is not much cheaper than buying one from Troyers by the time you buy everything.

Unk Bond, I think it is great that you like sharing with all of us. I like hearing about the new ways to house purple martins that you come up with. I’m so thankful that you want to help others enjoy these beautiful birds.
