Hi everyone,
I have been using the netting for snake traps. Today I noticed 2 males fighting and landing on top of the netting. Has anyone who uses netting ever have a martin get tangled in it? Let me know. Thanks. Brent

I'm planning on doing this same thing Brent so I don't know the answer but curious to hear other replies. I can say that I had 2 Martins battling last year on a modified homemade porch in a Natural that I had screen mesh wire (very small openings within the mesh) as a porch inside and outside that a Martin got it's claws caught in this mesh and was left dangling upside down from the front porch. I began moving to lower the rack and assist and it got itself untangled and flew off (stuck for 7-8 seconds) My solution was to cover the mesh with white silicone so it wouldn't happen again... Good luck and looking forward to the experiences from others to your question.

Brent,
Iv found jumpers sitting on the net, they were not tangled guess too it would depend on how fluffed up it is. They could. Never found an adult on the net though. Could happen Brent.

This happened last year with two of my males fighting and one ended up on the netting. I ran to help him and before I got there he was able to free himself. Thank goodness. The netting seems to be the best answer for snakes living next to the lake.
One house up yesterday and first thing this morning 2 Starlings show. Yep, they pooped on my clean house. Traps will be going up soon. Kaye

Yep Kaye, same happened to me. But my pellet rifle took care of them.. got 3 starlings in one morning, several days back, and another this morning. I don’t want them harassing the martins , as they are now living in their compartments, and others picking out their compartments..
Good luck
