Martin Colony History: New to it.

Great birds this year. Several babies born and socialized to group, then they all left. Today they reurned after approx 30 days. Why?

I've got no proof but believe they like what they see at your place and just are doing some exploration. Great journeys always begin with the smallest of steps. Perhaps they are just preparing and having a little fun and rest.

They are probably different Purple Martins they will "stay" at your houses as a stop over on their journey back to South America
