North East SC. Nest Check today. Right at 300 babies. The most we have ever had. 71 pair. One empty gourd out of 72. When the last rack was back up, I couldnt help but having a big smile on my face.

Am enlarging your photo as I try to understand predator deterrence, is it advantageous to put your netting close to the ground? Thanks.

It aids with nest checks. You can only lower the rack down to the netting. If it is higher you would have to do nest checks with a ladder. Something you want to avoid if you have 72 gourds to check every week.
