I've got some older SK gourds, I believe they're the Big Bo's maybe, anyway probably 15 or more years old and I need new cleanout caps and can't seem to find any. SK has some but they appear to be too large per the measurements. Anybody have an idea where I can get these. I measured mine and they are 4 1/8 ID and a little over 4 1/2 ID I believe. Thanks for any help. If no luck I might just update to some new gourds and be done with it. Thanks!!

You should be able to get those lids at the container store. Take a gourd in with you just to be sure. But these lids are very common size. In fact, I bought a package of zip ties and the lid from that container fit on my gourds.

Plastic molding can be expensive so when these gourd are made, they try make the accessories and replacement parts uniform with other products already made to reduce costs of manufacturing. Those plastic push pins they use for porches and stuff are generic sizes as well.

If I'm wrong I'm sorry but Ive seen these lids on a lot of stuff. I've seen the same size caps on those big jars of cheese balls from Sams wholesale.

I hope that helps.

Good luck.

Lots of snack containers from Walmart use the same lid. We have dogs so always have mini milkbones from Walmart. It comes in a 36 oz. plastic container so I always have lids. Ipaint the outside white. Those gourds are quite small but work well with a 4 inch tunnel. I used 4 inch wide roof aluminum flashing to construct a tunnel. The entrance can be taken off gourd and attached to the tunnel. Birds like the tunnel.

I'm looking forward to the day of giving my SK plastic Bo's to someone starting out...I'm not a big fan due to their weight...Bo9s okay but the Bo11's with black inner liner are to big for the tri-tek poles in my opinion. Good luck
