So far it’s been a good season. I have a very good show this season but did run into some problems. This season I hung gourds from the condo and I’m guessing the weight put a strain on it and caused the roof to split open. I caught it in time and did a emergency fix to get through this season. I used a ratchet strap to chinch the roof back down and all seems good now. Hope everyone is having a good season , good luck to all.

Thank y’all. As I took this picture this evening 4/14 /21 there was a huge flock of Martins circling above. My Martins would leave and join in then come back and secure their home. It was a sight to see. There had to be over a hundred Martins , the most I had ever seen. Wish I had several condos which gets me to thinking that I might add on more rooms this off season. I’ll get more pictures soon. Good luck to everyone.

Morning Duke,
Was a bit worried, hadn't heard anything after the freeze. Thats a great set up, and lots and lots of martins. Congrats man.
Im glad the martins at west guth are coming back; the two sites we talked about aren't quite what they were.

Good morning Tom , thank you. That freeze hurt us all , I lost two early arrivals. But everything is looking good. Hope you are having a good season.

Duke,

That is a real cool configuration. I hadn't thought about something like that. It looks real good =with the condo on top and the circle of gourds underneath. I may do that next year. I was going to add only four gourds to my T-14 but now I see I can get and additional circle around the bottom with more. And it looks good.

Congrats on your Martins this year.

Keep the photos coming.

Duke,
Rough start lost 4 martins. Hate losing the oldest birds. But 26 cavities are full, guy down the street has 8 super gourds on a lonestar rack full up. Nest building well on the way. Our satellite site at the oso preserve has 5 or 6 pair up from last year.
Season is going fast.

Whippy thanks for the like. I had this ring laying around at work and the idea came that I could hang the gourds on them. I hung the ring on the condo with four chain links and and made brackets to hang the gourds. I wanted all the rooms together to service them at one time.

Your birds are in good hands Duke. Tough to tear away from watching birds especially in the evening. They will be in more soon as the eggs are laying.

If you go, can't miss them, probably 5 feet from the walkway next to the kiddie park. 12 Gourds and a trio mini. They are well adjusted to people.
