Has any one hung gourds from the aluminum Perch for Round Poles? Mine are one pound Bo Plus gourds. Wondering about the arm strengths I want to hang three..

These? A hail storm hit mine and broke as shown in picture. I have never liked them because they are drilled for cotter key and are weak.

I had a similar experience when I just started out in the purple martin hobby. So, in sum I had my cousin Mike Oliver weld a 24 steel circular gourd rack with a sqaure hub that rode up and down on a 4 inch heavy duty square pole that was cemented witha full cubic yard of cement. I have had over 90 mph winds come through and it basically moved about 1/4 inch during the winds. If you can and have the resources, I would suggest building your own and be sure to over beef it up.
ImageMite control, heat venting, predator protection and additional feeding during bad weather add up to success.
