Congratulations, RR!! WHEW! I know you are breathing a sigh of relief!
Your issue with a rat was definitely weird, but I'm hoping a lot of landlords are mounting cylinder guards with netting above this year after hearing stories like this one and others with problems with raccoons!
Possible colony destroyed

Way to go RR. Looks like you're in business for sure.
I saw my first Martin of the year yesterday flying over a neighborhood about 300 yards from my place. Hadn't seen him since but, it is my first sighting here in Plano. Gonna bail from work soon and head home to do some stuff and keep an eye out for more.
It should be a good weekend for arrivals in Texas. Saturday around noon the wind will be out of the South from the Yucatan peninsula blowing up the coast of Mexico into Texas. Right now the winds are out of the West changing from the south in a few hours. As we move into Sunday the winds blow from the South from the coast of Brazil all the way up to, and into, Texas.
Mid day Tuesday we get another North wind and by Thursday it will blow from the North all the way to Yucatan but later that day it begins the Southerly turn around pattern that we are currently experiencing.
Should be a good weekend for Martin arrivals.
Coolwhips.
