Respect for oneself and others is the best beauty tip I can give you. Know it, foster it, and let it guide you in your day-to-day interactions. Don't let the shallowness of others grind you down to a person with no respect for your own self-worth. Respect yourself first, and you will gain respect from others. Those unwilling to show you the respect you show yourself and them do not belong in your life.
Embrace this quality, and you will know true beauty in a time when respect has been shucked aside for so many other meaningless attributes percieved as important.
