Has anybody tried these products and what was the result?

I expect that you will be getting mixed reviews on this topic. Some say they work, while others say they don't deter the owls. Day time wind socks are also utilized. I assume the night guard you are referring to is the flashing red light. I do have owl cages (fencing) surround all my housing. That does work and keeps the owls out.
ImageMite control, heat venting, predator protection and additional feeding during bad weather add up to success.
